PRIVACY, WITHOUT THE FOG
Your data stays yours.
Here are the exceptions.
KEORIS is local-first, not magically offline. Core data and voice processing stay on your PC after setup. Optional cloud, camera, browser, weather, remote, and contact features connect to the services they need.
What stays on your computer
- Tasks, notes, memories, routines, schedules, and approved-folder settings.
- An activity history of what KEORIS did, capped at the most recent 2,000 entries. Older entries are dropped, not archived.
- A rolling plain-text conversation record kept for roughly two days so you can recover recent answers.
- Speech recognition audio. After the models download, transcription happens locally and microphone audio is not uploaded.
- Your files. KEORIS reads files in approved folders; it does not upload whole files to Keoris Systems.
Local does not mean encrypted. Application data and recent conversation records are ordinary files protected by your Windows account. Anyone with access to that account may be able to read them.
What downloads during setup
A fresh installation connects to third parties to retrieve software and model files. These are downloads—not uploads of your personal data.
- Python 3.12 when it is missing, normally through Windows Package Manager.
- The openWakeWord “Hey Keoris” model and a faster-whisper speech-recognition model.
- The Kokoro neural voice model, downloaded from Hugging Face. Until it is ready, KEORIS can use a built-in Windows voice.
- Ollama and a local language model when you enable the local brain.
When data leaves your computer

Keys and connected-service secrets
KEORIS uses Windows secure storage when it is available. The OpenAI key refuses to save if secure storage is unavailable. Some other connected-service secrets can fall back to plain text in the local settings file; this is a known limitation and is disclosed rather than hidden. Secrets are excluded from backup exports.
Custom-build request form
The sales-page form sends your name, email address, and project brief through FormSubmit so the request can be delivered to Keoris Systems. Submitting the form does not create a KEORIS account. Do not include passwords, API keys, medical information, financial information, or other secrets in the project brief.
What KEORIS does not do
- No analytics, advertising trackers, telemetry, or automatic crash-report uploads.
- The current reviewed source has no active payment check. The public KEORIS release will require paid access after its three-day trial, and this policy will be updated with the final licensing flow before launch.
- No automatic purchasing, message sending, or unrestricted model shell access.
- No automatic software installation. Release checks only notify you.
Deleting your data
Remove connected keys from Settings, delete recent transcript files from the application data folder, or use Backup & Restore before removing the application data folder. Uninstalling removes the program but may leave your data folder so a later reinstall can recover your settings.
